Corporation appoints GVA

Ebbsfleet Development Corporation (EDC) has hired a prominent commercial property firm to help it work on a mixed-use development site in the region.

GVA, the largest independent commercial property agency in the UK, has worked on large-scale projects including the capital’s Westfield Shopping Centre and estates in Berkeley Square and Knightsbridge, as well as advising on the Crossrail project.

It has been appointed to help the corporation reach its ambition for Ebbsfleet Central, which is a nine million sq ft [836,127sq m] mixed-use scheme that will act as the gateway into Ebbsfleet Garden City.

The company will provide its skills in real estate finance, investment partnerships and strategic development consulting, to help with the construction of up to 2,500 homes and commercial space.

Jerry Freeman, senior director and head of GVA’s London development consulting team, said: “We are advising on some of the largest development partnerships across London and nationally, and will draw upon this range of experience to help EDC deliver its ambitions for this crucial but complex site.”
