The company’s 192 members of staff who worked in its previous headquarters in Chatham moved to Redrow House, which was opened by the company’s departing chairman Steve Morgan.

The south-east division, created in 2015, now forms part of the Ebbsfleet Green scheme that will offer up to 950 new homes, a hotel, pub, shops, primary school, allotments and sports pitches.

Ben Fewsdale, regional director at Redrow South East, said the regional office’s aims were to “deliver beautiful, well-designed homes, provide outstanding customer service and create sustainable new communities.”

He added: “Moving across with the team to our flagship development is an important milestone in delivering our vision for Ebbsfleet Green, and it has been fantastic to have Steve officially open our new office.”

Ian Piper, chief executive of Ebbsfleet Development Corporation, said: “Redrow has become the first significant company to open an office here and the fact its HQ is now in Ebbsfleet Garden City shows the company’s commitment to the area and what a good location Ebbsfleet is for business.”
