First Ebbsfleet school on schedule for September opening

The steel framework, retaining wall and boundary wall for Ebbsfleet Garden City’s first primary school have been completed, new images show.

Cherry Orchard Primary Academy, in Eastern Quarry, will be completed in the summer and be ready for the autumn school term, a spokesperson for construction contractor WW Martin has said.

It will be a two-form entry school for students of three to 11 years of age, with facilities including a nursery and a community centre for children with special speech, communication and language needs.

Run by Leigh Academies Trust, it will provide places for 420 students, 26 nursery children and 15 special needs pupils.
